
Hormone-Supportive Matcha Elixir Hot Cross Buns (Easter Wellness Recipe)
Ingredients:
Dry Ingredients:

3 cups plain flour (or GF flour blend)

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp ground ginger

1 tbsp matcha powder

1 scoop Fertile You Hormone Elixir (Lemon or Natural)

7g sachet dried yeast

1/2 tsp sea salt
Wet Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice), warmed

3–4 Medjool dates, chopped

50g coconut oil or butter, melted

1 egg (or flax egg)
Cross Mixture:

1/4 cup flour
-
4 tbsp water
Optional Glaze:

1 tbsp maple syrup + 1 tbsp warm water
Instructions:

Activate the yeast: Warm the almond milk and pour into a bowl. Add yeast and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Mix the dough: In a large bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, matcha, elixir powder, and salt. Add the melted oil and egg. Stir in the yeast mixture.

Add dates: Fold in chopped Medjool dates for a soft, naturally sweet finish.

Knead: Knead for 8–10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Shape buns: Divide into 8–10 balls and place on a lined baking tray. Cover and let rise for another 30–40 minutes.

Add the cross: Mix flour and water into a thick paste. Pipe crosses on top of each bun.

Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes or until golden.

Optional glaze: Brush warm buns with maple syrup for a glossy, naturally sweet finish.
